Old Hang Out Friends at New Place, New Home

Posted in Feelings on November 15, 2010 by altins

Friends definition : people/person who will be there for you, you don’t have to be physically meet them, in everyday of your life, the point is, you know they are there, as the invisible forces that keeps pushing you to a better path, to a better life, sharing a better perspectives, laughing together, crying together, even hmm…cursing together… and feel guilty together after that.

And the Seven of Us, or should I say, the Se7en Warrior Princess-es…..we move on….

One step ahead, leaving the world where hurtful words are so easily said.. we move on, to build our own new world, our own dreamland, our own neverland, where we are allowed to be childish ( as childish as an infant ), where we are allowed to share about everything ( from the good, the bad and the worst ), where we can be….just we.

We’re playing around at our new playground

There was once this little girl, who has just opened her eyes for the wonder of KPop n KDrama. She was busy….. collecting informations about the KPop n KDrama wonders. But, all those informations were using other language. It’s not that she doesn’t know the language, but it’s not her native language. At that time, she was wondering, if anyone with her native language already taste the wonder of KPop n KDrama. So, she may have chit-chat friends, someone to whom she can share about everything from KPop  n KDrama wonders. So, she can get angry, can giggle together, can gossip together with all these new friends, friends so that she can share the wonders and multiply the happiness it brings.

And suddenly, she just landed on the world of KI. She puts her first step carefully, checking the land that sounds familiar to her ear. “Those people are speaking in my language!”, there she yells. And since that, she devotes her time in that land.

But the storm is coming out, it threatens the peace of the land. And the land’s ruler decided to leave her mighty position, the land ruler decided that the time for her to share the wonders has reached the end.

S-h-e   l-e-f-t,   r-i-g-h-t    b-e-f-o-r-e   t-h-e    s-t-o-r-m.

After the storm, some of the village elders were trying to rebuild the land. They scouted new citizens, designated new officials. And when the peace is about to settle in the rebuilt land.

The ex-ruler comes back, proudly she declares herself as the greatest.

“Just opened KI again for a while, try hard newbie, I know your writing skill suck so there is no comment, beat my old team if you can :)”.

“It is a piece of junk now.”

It breaks everyone’s heart. Including the little girl’s heart and also the elders. Even one of the elders was crying because of that.

Suddenly the little girl’s heart is wondering. So many questions run wild in her mind.

“Why are you saying that?”

“What do you think of us now?”

“If you were hurt in the past because someone criticized your writing, don’t you think that we can hurt too?”

“If our writing skills are suck, then shouldn’t YOU (who thinks her writings are such a perfect skill) tell us what we should do to fix that?”

“Isn’t it hurting you that you hurt your two-years-old-baby with such hurtful words..?”

Even we, the newcomer, feel hurt because of that words, how come you don’t have a tiny bit of care, of love to that baby?

We’re the newbies…so many things to learn, so many new things we want to achieve, so many things we want to share……it’s that hard to give us a bit of support, a bit of positive advices, a bit of positive energy, a bit of love and care as our sunbae….is it that hard?

With words you can break down someone’s mentality..with words you can build someone’s mentality…the options are in your hand. Whether you want to build or you want to destroy.

Indeed, the tongue has no bones in it….but it’s sharper than any knives in this world…

Don’t you think…you are responsible for your words, since you are an adult now?

And you… you have lost one of your admirer.

Hmmm….the moving abroad effects:

1. getting late, waking up in the morning….with cloudy mind…”in which country am I today?”…after a while…”ahh..still in Indonesia..”

2. getting late to office, soon, it won’t be your office anymore….bad thought..

3. craving for any favorite local food….afraid that you may not have the chance to eat them again..

4. seeing faces of your family and starting to think “is this the best way?”…another bad thought..

5. tolerating traffic jam…perhaps…a good thought..

6. making what-to-do list, packing, hate to do it…eventhough I’m very good at it.

7. getting lazier to do..almost everything..including posting to KI.

8. thinking how I can smuggle my dvds collection without getting caught by immigration..

9. getting headache because you have too many things to pack in such a small bag and starting to wish that you have the shrink-spotlight from doraemon…so that you may shrink all your stuff and just put them in your pocket.

10.Activate your international roaming phone, laptop, modem, handphone, mp3,their charger, external burner, and etc…and etc..

11. Hunt a room, remember to ask light cooking allow or not, fridge, washing machine, bath room, internet access….

Getting crazy….for this list… suitcases are dirrrty..

Be still my soul…be calm my soul…

You still have 40 hours…

It’s not that I don’t love you Indonesia….

I do…. I do love you.

It’s just….I’m a dream chaser.

Please let me spread my wings and fly.

Please let me see what kind of the world that I’m currently living in.

Please let me see how others live in their own country.

I’m young, full of curiousity, and naive.

Let me taste the world with my own tongue.

Let me step my feet into a brand new country.

Let me breathe new air into my lungs.

Let me have this one-tastic journey of my life.

And knowing that you will always be there…waiting for me, waiting the old me.

The old-and-tired-but-fully-refreshed me.

And when I go back, I will proudly say,

“나 왔어”

“I’m Home”,

“Saya Pulang”…

And by then, I will know, that I’m finally….at home.

To: Indonesia, with all my love
